In the 8th February 2009, Val d'Isère donned his white coat. The teams of the preparation of the track were at work since 6:00 this morning to evacuate all the snow that did not stop falling all day. The summits were hanging clouds with no wind which caused the fog to the limit of 2600m.
The training of the Men's Super Combined (cumulative time Downhill and Slalom) on the Face of Bellevarde was canceled this morning.
At the start of the Downhill of Solaise at 2536m, it is falling 40cm of fresh snow, so the team need to push them from the line of the race. On this demanding track, the large amount of snow to removal over the full width of the "Plan" could not be performed. Despite the participation of over 300 people on the piste Rhône Alpes on Solaise, ski patrols, ski instructors, volunteers, volunteers from the army, the natural elements were the strongest.
