Sous la neige s'est déroulé la première manche du Géant Femmes. La piste était parfaitement préparée grâce aux bénévoles, moniteurs de ski et pisteurs qui ont travaillé sans arrêt depuis 5 heure ce matin.
L'Autrichienne Kathrin Zettel s'est classé première à l'issu de cette première manche. Tanja Poutiainen (Finlande) est seconde à 40 centièmes, Viktoria Rebensburg (Allemagne) 3ème à 68 centièmes. Quant au Françaises elles se classent, 5ème pour Tessa Worley à 92 centièmes, 12ème pour Taina Barioz, 22ème pour Olivia Bertrand et 30ème pour Marion Bertrand.
Seule les 30 premières disputeront la seconde manche.
